10 Weird Things You Didn’t Know About Your Body

Being a human, aren’t we always busy giving an extraordinary attention to ourselves and no wonder we exhibit a wonderful decorum as well? Spending hours and hours on oneself, who doesn’t do that? Well, everyone does. Be it secretly or openly. Because after all, it’s the most important thing you possess. But wait a minute, do you really think you know every bit of your body? And all those little but weirdly amazing facts about your body? Well, I doubt that.

Here are some of those facts you probably didn’t already know about your body:

 

1- Human hair can grow up to 590 miles if left uncut!

Ever wondered how your hair would look like if you never had them cut down even from the very beginning? Well, you would look like a Goddamn Rapunzel in this world of Kardashians. Amazing, no? But yeah, I don’t assure any prince charming along with that. Nope.

2-Your nose and ears never stop growing!

You heard me right. The size of our eyes is as it is since our birth but our nose and ears never stop growing. No wonder why people keep putting their nose in everyone else’s business. Well, they can’t help it fellas. It’s their natural growth. Cheer up.

3- You can produce enough saliva to fill a swimming pool.

During your lifetime, you can produce enough saliva to fill two swimming pools! Exactly. Two whole swimming pools. Sounds gross. I know, right? And that put me off swimming for a while. But yeah, another fact.

4- The brain is much more active at night  than during the day!

Now you know why it’s hard to fall asleep at night. And next time when someone tells you that you can’t sleep because you’re awake in someone else’s dream, just smack them with this fact. By the way, we should really suggest this fact to our colleges and universities.

5- Your hearing becomes less sharp after having too much food!

Well, I don’t mind that at all. I mean, who even wants to listen to the bullshit people have to say about us? Nope. Not me at least. Plus, getting my hands off of the food has never been that easy. Cheers to science for letting me know about it.

6-Your body heat is enough to boil half gallon of water!

An average human body has enough body heat emission in thirty minutes to boil about half gallon of water. Shut up haters, now I can proudly call myself ‘hot’!

7- Women  blink twice as much as men do.

I don’t really know what’s the rocket science behind this fact but I did come up with my own reason. Maybe women blink twice as men because of the tons of makeup they got on their eyes? Yep. Sounds legitimate. After all, itna mehnga eye shade hai bhae, nazar bhi tou ana chahiye. And oh, by the way, girls do have an excuse now for flirting eh?

8- Tongue is the strongest muscle of human body!

Yes it is. A human tongue is the strongest muscle in the human body. So people, use this strength wisely. Use this strength to lift someone up. You could either break or build a better scenario.

9- Your heart stops when you sneeze.

Every time you sneeze, all your body functions stop including your heart! So basically, you’re blessed with a new life every time you recover from your sneeze. And no wonder why this is the reason we ought to say Alhamdulillah (thanks to Allah) after sneezing.

10- You are taller in the morning than at night.

Your joints compress up to 1 centimeter till night because of the effect of gravity and this is why you tend to appear taller in the morning than at night. What were you thinking? A difference of one feet? Haha. No dear. Learn to be happy with your body, tall or short.
